Go Where all the Mommies go – MommyCon

December 28, 2015 by Ashley 13 Comments

I use affiliate links on my blog. When you click on my links, I may make a commission. Thank you for supporting my family!

I may be a new mom this year, but that does not mean I haven’t been doing research for awhile on places where I could get even more educated with other moms and in doing that research I came across MommyCon!  I have been lucky enough to be selected as a MommyCon Blogger and Street Team member which means that I have a discount code that you can use to help you save a little money on the ticket(s) that you purchase for MommyCon.

I personally will be going to MommyCon Chicago which is going to be on Saturday, March 05, 2016 9:30 AM located at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont , IL.  I love this convention center and cannot wait to go to the event.  I admit that for me it will be a little risky seeing as I will have a newborn with me, but I cannot miss the opportunity to go and learn something new.  If you are like me you won’t go alone either; I plan on inviting either my friend or my sister-in-law to tag along with me.  The schedule has yet to be announced, but in the past some past guest speakers have included Jessica of The Leaky Boob, Abby of The Badass Breastfeeder, Jamie Grayson (TheBabyGuyNYC) and others.

MommyCon does travel the country so if you aren’t in the Chicago area that doesn’t mean you will miss out on such a great opportunity!  It will be stopping in Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Austin, DC, Orange County, Orlando, and San Jose.  As you can see even if you are a Midwestern, Southern, Eastern or Western you will be able to find a location that is not too far from home.  MommyCon always has a hotel where you can get a discounted room rate, though you want to book those rooms as soon as possible as the group block of rooms will more than likely sell out for all locations well before the event dates.

Why should you go to MommyCon?

You will want to go to MommyCon like I do because they bring modern families and mothers-to-be together to learn through various seminars which will cover the topics of birth, breast feeding, natural health and medicine, babywearing, cloth diapering, car seat safety and often other parenting topics.  I cannot forget to mention that everyone who buys the general admission ticket will also get a gift bag stuffed full of products from MommyCon sponsors!

This sounds like it would be a great opportunity for all Mom’s both brand new Mom’s or those with a couple of kids under their thumbs. At the very least you all will get to meet other Mom’s and network about what is important to you!!

It looks like such a great conference, and it’s in my old stomping grounds. I wish I could go, but it’s just not to be this year.
